Terms of Service: 3 Mile Outfitters

The Brief

3 Mile Outfitters ("we", "us", "our") provides the technical gear and event data you need for the Maritime landscape. By using our Shopify-powered store, you are agreeing to these Terms. They are the "trail markers" for how we conduct business together.

01. Access & Eligibility

To use this site, you must be the age of majority in Nova Scotia. You are the navigator of your own account; keep your credentials secure. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose actions compromise the integrity of our community or platform.

02. Technical Specifications & Accuracy

We prioritize technical accuracy in everything we list.

  • Gear Specs: Data like weight, dimensions, and material compositions (e.g., the Merino percentage in your Darn Tough socks) are provided by our manufacturing partners.

  • Visuals: While we strive for "Warm Minimalist" clarity, digital displays vary. The color of a shell on your screen may differ slightly from the color on the trail.

  • Availability: We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue gear as seasons and stock levels shift.

03. Order Protocol

Your order is an offer to purchase.

  • Validation: An order is only confirmed once payment is processed and you receive an official confirmation email.

  • Modifications: Once an order enters the "Picking" phase at our Halifax hub, it is locked in for the mission and cannot be cancelled.

  • Personal Use: Our gear is meant for the woods, not the warehouse. Commercial resale is prohibited.

04. Pricing & Provincial Tax

All prices are in CAD.

  • Taxes: Prices do not include HST unless specified.

  • Integrity Check: We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a technical glitch lists a high-performance shell for a fraction of its cost, the order will be cancelled and refunded.

05. Logistics & Shipping

We facilitate the transfer of gear from our hub to your door.

  • Risk: Ownership and the risk of loss pass to you once the package is handed to the carrier (Canada Post, UPS, etc.).

  • Field Delays: Estimated delivery dates are projections, not guarantees. Atlantic weather and carrier volume can impact the timeline—we appreciate your patience when the grit gets real.

06. Intellectual Property

All content—including our "Field Notes" product descriptions, regional event data, and site architecture—is the property of 3 Mile Outfitters. Our data is a tool for our community; unauthorized reproduction is a violation of federal law.

07. Prohibited Conduct

We keep the trail clean. You are prohibited from using the site for unlawful purposes, attempting to scrape our data with automated bots, or interfering with our security features.

08. Field Safety & Liability

Outdoor activities involve inherent risk. 3 Mile Outfitters provides gear and event data "as is."

  • Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Nova Scotia law, we are not liable for injury or gear failure resulting from the use of products purchased here.

  • Event Data: Trail conditions and race dates change. Always verify with race directors before traveling to an event.

09. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia. Any legal disputes will be settled in the courts of Halifax, NS.
